Escape From PETSCII Castle (v0.75) For Commodore 64
A downloadable game
Preview (v0.75) of my upcoming first-person shooter Commodore 64 game - Escape From PETSCII Castle. An 8-bit ray casting engine with walls, doors, hidden passages, weapons, ammo, keys and gold. Multiple levels of mayhem! Blocky enemies are now active. Next steps include improved enemies, better sound and more levels. The game was inspired by Wolfenstein 3D and was originally written for the Commodore PET.

I see it and I still cant believe this is possible :) Fantastic work! Where were you 30 years ago! ;) No matter, will play it for sure when ready. Much luck in development!

:3 Can't wait to play it, one day when you say it's ready. Still super excited about the prospect of maybe map editing, or mouse controls, but ... even if that's not in the books, I'm delighted!

WOW! very very nice engine. it runs totaly smooth. maybe you could bring the Wolfenstein 3d maps to the game, and even maybe can bring in some more "textures". but what i can see, looks very cool for a stock c64. and maybe the enginge might be expandable to run ""Doom-like" levels, with upper/downer areas.... please keep on condimg at this. I wish you all the bests and i look forward for the 1st runable public aviable demos/releases.
